RYZR ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
We collect the following types of information:
Camera. Form Coach tracks your body position and counts reps by analyzing your camera feed on your device. Video is never recorded or uploaded. After each set, Form Coach sends a short text summary of its measurements (for example rep count, depth, tempo, and which form issues it noticed), with no images, to Anthropic's Claude AI to write a coaching tip. Older versions of the app that cannot track your body on the device instead send a still image from the camera every few seconds to Anthropic for analysis while Form Coach is running. RYZR does not store these images, and Anthropic processes them only to return the feedback.
Microphone. The microphone is used only when you talk to the AI coach. Your speech is turned into text by your device's built-in speech recognition (provided by Apple or Google), and only the resulting text is sent to the AI coach as your message.
RYZR can optionally read health data from Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS and Health Connect on Android. With your explicit permission, RYZR reads the following data, read-only, where your device provides it:
We use this data to calculate a daily recovery ("readiness") score, to adjust your workouts to how recovered you are, and to show your activity and progress in the app. Here is where it goes:
RYZR never writes data to Apple Health or Health Connect, and connecting them is entirely optional. The app works without it. Health data obtained through Apple Health or Health Connect is never used for advertising or marketing, is never sold, and is never shared with advertising networks, data brokers, or any other third party. The only exceptions are the service providers named above, Supabase and Anthropic, which handle it on our behalf to provide these features. Our access to and use of Apple Health data complies with Apple's HealthKit requirements. You can grant or revoke this access at any time in your device's Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) settings, and you can ask us to delete the health data stored in your account (see "Data Retention" below).
We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
Health data read from Apple Health or Health Connect is shared only with Supabase and Anthropic, as described in "Apple Health & Health Connect" above, and never with any advertising or analytics provider.
Ads in the free version. If you use RYZR without a Premium subscription, we may show an ad from Google AdMob after you finish a workout. Ads are never shown during a workout, and Premium subscribers never see them. To serve and measure these ads and to prevent ad fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, your IP address (from which it can estimate your approximate location), how you interact with ads, and diagnostic information such as app crashes and performance. Ads are personalized only if you allow it: on iOS through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland through the consent form shown in the app. Otherwise you may still see non-personalized ads. Your health, fitness, and workout data is never shared with Google or any ad network, and is never used to choose which ads you see.
Affiliate links. The Gear tab and the "Refuel" card after a workout link to products on Amazon. If you buy through these links, RYZR may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Tapping a link opens Amazon, and anything you do there is governed by Amazon's privacy notice. We do not share any of your information with Amazon.
Measuring our own ads. We use the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) SDK to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns — for example, to understand when someone installs RYZR after seeing an ad, or completes a subscription purchase. This may involve sharing device and usage identifiers (such as your device's advertising identifier) with Meta Platforms, Inc., governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
On iOS, RYZR will ask for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before using your device's advertising identifier for advertising. You can allow or deny this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, this is governed by your device's Ads settings (Settings > Google > Ads). Declining does not affect your ability to use RYZR.
Subscription purchase events may also be shared with Meta through our subscription provider, RevenueCat, for the same advertising-measurement purpose.
Our website uses the OpenAI advertising pixel to measure visits and actions associated with ChatGPT advertising campaigns. The pixel may store a first-party cookie containing an OpenAI ad-click reference and send campaign measurement information to OpenAI. It does not give us access to visitors' ChatGPT conversations. This measurement is governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time:
Deleting your account removes your login, profile, workout history and plans, health data synced from Apple Health or Health Connect, nutrition logs, body measurements, and referral records. Basic app-usage events (for example, that a workout was completed) are kept only with your account identifier removed, so they can no longer be linked to you. Subscription records held by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat are governed by their own retention policies, and deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.
RYZR is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
We do not sell your personal data for money. However, sharing your device's advertising identifier and app activity with Google and Meta for advertising, as described in "Advertising and Analytics," may count as "sharing" for targeted advertising under some US state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time by declining tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt (or in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking) on iOS, or by deleting or resetting your advertising ID in Settings > Google > Ads on Android. You can also email us to opt out.
We may send you daily motivational messages via push notification. You can opt out at any time through your device's notification settings or within the RYZR app.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of RYZR after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
